Youth Policy Leaders at Bay Area Community Resources

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is a nonprofit organization supporting individual and community development throughout the Bay Area. As part of the BACR network, Youth Policy Leaders (YPL) is a peer-led initiative of youth organizers and researchers working towards social justice, and health equity in San Francisco. YPL is currently working toward a smoke-free multi-unit housing ordinance for San Francisco because we believe all San Franciscans deserve to be healthy and safe in their homes. The Washoe County Health District serves to protect and enhance the well-being and quality of life for all in Washoe County.

Vista Community Clinic Tobacco Control Program

The mission of the Vista Community Clinic is to advance community health and hope by providing access to premier health services and education for those who need it most. The VCC Tobacco Control Program works with North San Diego County community members and partners to promote smoke- and tobacco-free living through policy and initiatives aimed at reducing secondhand smoke exposure in homes and outdoor public areas, reducing youth access to tobacco and vape products, reducing tobacco product waste in the environment and connecting individuals to free quit smoking and vaping services.

University of California San Francisco Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education

The Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education serves as a focal point for a broad range of research, education, and public service activities for over 60 faculty in 11 departments and all four schools at UCSF. It is part of the UCSF Cardiovascular Research Institute and its membership is congruent with the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Tobacco Control Program. The Center is also a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Tobacco Control.
